Domain registration is the process of choosing a domain name, the name you'll use for your website address as in http://www.domainname.com. It is a good idea to have more than one name that will work, or a few variations of your first choice, because there's a chance that your first choice will already be taken.
When registering your domain name, you have the option to make this registration public or private. A private registration will keep all your personal contact information such as name, address, phone number, and email address, from being listed when someone trying to find out more information about you, for whatever reason, types your website address in the "WHOIS" database.
Once you are armed with a list of possible domain names, and have decided how you want your domain name to be listed, then you should register one ASAP to ensure that you get it before someone else does.
If you choose us for your web design needs, we would be happy to advise and assist you in selecting a domain name.
We recommend the following Registrar to register your domain
name. This is the same one that we use for all of our domains.
